Deary Days
Deary's annual "Friendship Day" is the first Saturday of August. A parade, barbecue, and dance usually highlight the event. As the date approaches, contact the Deary Days Committee and/or city hall for information about events, vending, and volunteering.

Community Center Rentals
To rent the community center for a private event, please first confirm your purpose as an acceptable use with either the Deary City Clerk or the Deary Rec District (available at dearyrec@gmail.com), then complete the rental agreement form (attached below). Rental by citizens living within the taxing district will be free of charge, and those living outside of the district will be charged $250.00 per day. Donations are greatly appreciated. For all renters, there is a $75.00 damage/cleaning deposit that will only be refunded if the building is left in clean and proper condition (memorial dinners held by members within the taxing district are an exception). With an additional $200.00 damage deposit, the sound system is also available. Keys are available for pick-up at Deary City Hall during office hours (M-F 8:00am-4:30pm). The damage deposit may be collected only after the keys have been returned and the community center has been inspected.
