Dog Licensing

Dog licenses are valid for (up to) one calendar year, and expire every year on December 31. 

A license costs $3 for a fixed animal, $5 otherwise.

​Trash Collection

Trash is collected weekly on Fridays. Collection may be delayed by one day following holidays including New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. 

Roll carts are available in 35, 65, and 95 gallon sizes. There is an additional fee for any bags or trash that cannot fit in the cart - the appropriately sized card should allow for occasional extra volume while still being able to close fully.

Bulky Waste Collection

The bulky waste collection site in Deary is open on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. The collection site is north of the community center on Line Street, behind the grain elevators.

Demolition waste is not accepted in April and October. Household waste is only accepted in April and October. The site does not accept E-waste, household waste, small appliances, or plastic items. For more details on limits and acceptable materials, please visit this webpage

The City of Deary no longer offers curbside recycling, but you can still do your part to recycle by bringing recyclable items to the recycling center north of the community center on Line Street, behind the grain elevators.
